Poms bashing in the caribbean

The first test between Eng and WI at Kingston turned out to be an amazing game of  cricket. After the West Indies cramped to a 74 runs lead in the first innings, no one could ever imagine that the test match will be over inside 4 days.  I guess that is the beauty of test cricket… expect the unexpected.

West Indies are known for those talk dark bowlers running in with weapons of mass destruction in stead of a cricket ball.  This incredible feature has been sadly missing from the West Indies team since the last 10 years. We can safely say that after the retirement of Ambrose and Walsh, the West Indies cricket has declined like no other sporting team in the world. However, the performance today at Sabina Park by Jerome Taylor of the West Indies would make even the likes of Joel Garner and Micheal Holding stand up and applaud. He ran in with a big heart and bowled tirelessly at massive speeds to reduce England to 25/7 at one stage, with the left arm spinner Ben picking a couple of wickets as well. The bowling quality of Jerome Taylor was absolute top draw.  It was thrilling, exhilarating and deadly at all times.  I am sure the Punjab Kings X1 IPL franchise would be delighted to bag Taylor for a mere 150,000 USD.

Eventually the poms were all out for 51 handling an embarrassing innings defeat to the West Indies.  Even the million and half dollar men in KP and Freddy could not save them from the blushes.  And as far as Jerome Taylor is concerned, it w as an hour of complete magic.  Magic that is great for the cricket in the West Indies. The magic of Test Cricket.
